| Antiwar protestors make their voices heard and bring attention to the political climate. |
Although the government seems like they always want to end the war when transferring political powers from president to president, many do not end up following through with this notion. Most of the time, this projection gets pushed to the side while in office, and is not honored for what the people wanted to see.
Due to this, antiwar voices are not heard in the general media. On the main news networks, the anchors are always projecting the war that is going on in the world, and how awful it is, but never what people are doing to put an end to it.Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry
These antiwar voices do exist. There are people who want to speak out about what is going wrong in the world, and how most people are against war in the United States. They write their opinions and news on websites that are not easily found, such as antiwar.com and theamericanconservative.com.
Antiwar voices get silenced because war is profitable for the government. The weapon industry reaps the benefits of war, even if the United States are not directly involved. The US supporting other countries in their time of war, with troops and ammunition, still makes these violent actions profitable for those in the States.

The reason that these voices end up not on mainstream media is because private companies have a say of what gets put up on their websites. Although the first amendment right comes into play, private sectors still have control over what gets printed and posted. It is one thing for these people to come out and publish their opinions on their own, but it becomes a tedious process when working with an organization.
More people need to recognize what the country truly wants, over 50% of Americans are against war, and only about a third are in full support of these actions. New outlets and mainstream media need to do the same. Antiwar voices need to be heard, not only by those that seek them out, but by everyone.
